Chris Hurst may not sound like most artists of the current mainstream, as he pulls from the well of singer/songwriters such as Bob Dylan and Kris Kristofferson. He crafts songs of story and detail to deliver music which goes beyond the current sounds of saturated production and jingled hooks. Chris Hurst grew up in Collegeville, Pennsylvania where he began playing guitar and writing songs at a young age. Upon completing his first LP “Freedom to Believe” in 2012, he moved to Nashville, Tennessee to continue developing his music and to grow as an artist. He helped at Reba McEntire’s Starstruck Studios with numerous artists while working on his craft. With the release of Where the Heart Goes and A Storie's Tale, Chris has combined the dynamic of home recording and songwriting to fully harness the creative freedom now rewarded by technology and the evolving music industry.
